The recent past has seen a number of new entrants make their way towards television in their own areas of expertise and skills. While there have been many new faces introduced on screen, there are many people who have been showing interest in tasks that are related to activities behind the camera. Therefore, it is no surprise that in today’s world, a larger number of individuals are finding themselves at home in a field that was once considered to be only for a select few people.

Since no drama can stand on its own without a powerful script, a good drama writer is the basic need for any drama to be successful. This is why there has been a greater emphasis in these past few years on introducing new writers. Among the newly introduced writers, Hashim Nadeem Khan has been a very promising addition to the writers’ fraternity.

Basically a novel writer, Hashim has produced 27 telefilms and 11 drama serials. He wrote the PTV drama ‘Sipahee’ for which he was awarded Bolan Award. Other successful dramas to his credit are ‘Hijaab’ (as writer and director), which aired on ARY Digital and ‘Khuda Aur Mohabbat’ (writer), which is airing on Geo TV currently.
